Dr.
Insup Lee has been involved with Korean financial markets for
nearly 20 years. He founded "FundSelect Advisors" in
2003 following his departure from Lipper Korea, a Reuters Company,
as CEO (2000-2003). The main business focus was to provide,
both foreign and Korean financial organizations with, advisory
services. Since 2003, Dr Lee has worked with various global
and domestic financial entities. In addition, he serves as an
advisor to "Yoido Research Institute," a
think-tank entity of Korean Government's Ruling Party. Prior
to Lipper Korea, he was Managing Director of Seoul Investment Trust
Management Company (1996-1999), which managed more than 15 Billion
USD.
Between 1992 and 1996, he was a Director of Korea Securities Research
Institute, where he worked closely with the Korean government for
reforming its financial markets. He has published more than 45 articles
in international and Korean professional journals. In addition,
he appeared in various media programs including h TV programs with
Hankyoung Cable TV and MBN-CNBC Business TV.
Prior to his return to Korea in 1992, he was a professor at the
University of Delaware in the U.S. (1984-1992). Dr. Lee received
his MBA from the University of Tulsa (1980) and Ph. D. in Finance
from the University of Houston, Texas (1985).
